Most manufactures today have only a mental history of these machines. ER Machine Tool Service
generates a database of machine tool history and will have a bank of machine tool files that will point
out the common failure for machine tool types.
During the Total Proactive Maintenance (TPM) the machine will be checked according to that machine
tool type for a history of failures. ER will know the customers machine tool better than they do.
Proactive maintenance will take place, and parts will be ordered and installed before they fail, or for low
budget shops, parts will be ready for their expected failure rates. One of the most common failures for
machine tools is the loss of machine parameters. During the TPM machines tool's software will be
backed up and copies made for the customer and for ER. ER will file the copies in a safe.
Once a customer utilizes ER's TPM and certification program all emergency field services that are required
by ER will be done at a reduced field service rate. When a customer utilizes all of ER services, their
failure rate will be reduced.
